Fundraising for MIND Mental Health Charity

I've been a resident of Kings Moat Garden Village for the last two years and I'm hoping our community can come together to help me raise funds for a Charity very close to my heart. I lost my closest friend to suicide 4 years ago and I will always be left wondering if all that could be done was done to prevent what happened, therefore I've chosen to raise funds for Mind.

Mind Mental Health Charity are there for people in their hour of need when other options are not. They rely solely on donations to operate, so every little bit helps. I have decided to take part in a Charity MMA bout to help raise funds, my reasoning is, I simply couldn't think of anything else more daunting, with next to no experience in any martial art this is as big a challenge I can think of, and the donations are what is pushing me on. The event will be held at Chester Racecourse on the 27th of April, tickets are also available. Thank you!

Ongoing Campaigns

RMG

Kings Moat Residents’ Association met with RMG in late 2024 to address concerns, including instances of overcharging and inadequate service. As a result, we secured a rebate for all accounts.

Additionally, we received assurances that certain costs will not increase in the near future.

KMRA remains committed to ensuring that RMG only assumes responsibility for land that is in a suitable condition for handover and that RMG provide the services they are being paid to deliver, without unjustified charges.

We are also actively working to remove restrictive clauses that prevent us from selecting an alternative management agent if RMG fails to meet expectations in the future.

Developers

Kings Moat Residents’ Association has successfully campaigned for the installation of speed limit and private parking signs. We are actively collaborating with the developers to ensure they meet residents' needs, fulfil their commitments, and provide clear timelines for key developments, allowing us to keep residents informed.

Traffic

Kings Moat Residents’ Association collaborated with local groups and leaders, including our MP Aphra Brandreth, to campaign for a change to the speed limit on Wrexham Road. We have had some success with a  temporary speed limit coming into force and we are continuing to support the Wrexham Road Travel Plan working group, to try and improve other aspects of the road, such as access to the nursery.

Sage

Kings Moat Residents' Association hold regular meetings with Sage to ensure they maintain a high standard of service for their properties. This includes addressing issues such as repairing damaged bin store doors and fixing broken lighting in common areas promptly and effectively.

Kings Moat is within the parish boundary of Dodleston Parish Council.

Thanks to Parish Council support, our communities can stay connected and informed.
