Paul is originally from St Helens, but in 2018 while flying to Palma for a marathon he happened to sit next to some members of Chester Road Runners. It was during this journey that he met Laura, who is now his wife. Drawn to the plans for the Kings Moat estate and its proximity to Chester, they decided to buy a house there together.
Now settled in Chester, Paul and Laura have a three-year-old son who keeps them busy, as well as a 14-year-old daughter who lives with them full-time and is a wonderful big sister.
Paul has a passion for endurance sports, regularly participating in triathlons and running events. Paul also has a couple of ironman races under his belt.
Wanting to contribute to his new community, Paul initially joined the Residents' Association to help improve the estate and to help organise community events. When Paul first arrived in Chester he knew no one and now Paul serves as the chair of the Association and is committed to continuing the positive work already achieved, striving to make Kings Moat a fantastic place to live for everyone..

This is a group for residents of the Kings Moat Estate. It has been set up by the Residents’ Association, who will act as administrators.
It is acknowledged that there may be non-residents in the group, as this would be difficult to police, however if everyone abides by the below guidelines, then this should not be an issue.
This group is intended as a convenient way for the Residents’ Association to distribute information to residents quickly and efficiently and for residents to communicate easily with each other regarding things that are of a general interest to the group.
In light of the fact that the Residents’ Association are all volunteers and not trained or experienced in moderating public forums, it is not the intention that there ought to be an overly legalistic attitude towards its operation. However in order for the whatsapp group to remain a nice thing to be part of, and hence discourage people from feeling that they don’t want to be in it, the following ought to be adhered to:
a. The group should not be used to express opinions that are of a personal nature, i.e. not to post about people’s private matters, character, etc.
b. Any opinions expressed are the opinions of individual members. Group administrators are not responsible for any comments posted by individual members of the group.
c. If your message is not relevant to the majority of group members, please message the person directly rather than the entire group.
d. Avoid inappropriate posts, which includes using inappropriate language, insulting messages, voicing grievances with individual members of the group or any form of bullying.
e. It is not acceptable to use the group for public shaming of another individual.
